Common Courtesy

More and more I have noticed that this society has produced generations of people who know little to nothing about common courtesies. I know the blame for this lies directly on the parents and grandparents of today's generations, but it is a real problem and appears only to be getting worse. The kind of things I'm speaking of are really small things and things that are basically common sense. But it seems that they go unnoticed, even by many people that I know. It is scriptural to be courteous you know. Peter actually says in I Peter to "be courteous".

Over the next several days/weeks I will be listing a few common courtesies that I feel are severely lacking in our society.

  1. When you are at someone else house and the host is working, it is courtesy to offer to help. Then it is courtesy to go ahead and help even if the host claims that help is not needed. You should develop an eye for things that need to be done and go ahead and do them. Don't wait for the host to wait on you.

I will be adding more in future posts.....
God bless you all,
Martimus
